This biography of Gaspar de Haro Guzman (1629 .1687), VII Marquis of Carpio, also offers insight into the cites of Madrid, Rome, and Naples, where the Marquis was a diplomat. This is reflected in the books three sections: his time at the Madrid court (1629-1674) and transition to Italy (1674-1677), at the Rome Embassy (1677-1682), and, as Viceroy of Naples.
